It’s no secret that an accountant is one of your greatest allies. From filing your tax return in record time to reliable bookkeeping and expert management advice, they shoulder the strain so that you can focus on running your business.
But while their accountancy prowess might make them your new best friend, your accountant isn’t a financial advisor, or your coach.
So to help celebrate the brilliance that is your accountant, and ensure you’re making the most of what we have to offer, we’ve compiled the top 8 reasons your accountant is your business ace (and where to go for the other stuff!)
1. You’ll never have to feel the dread of your tax return again
If, like most of the population, you put off doing your tax return for absolutely anything else (the online shop, an hour’s doomscroll of Instagram, taking the bins out), then you’ll feel very smug when your accountant does it for you. No more wondering what you can and cannot claim for, or waiting until it’s the night before the deadline and you’re filled with regret for all your procrastination. Just a whole lot of relief that it’s been expertly completed and you can go back to your doom scroll.
2. Your books won’t look like your teenager’s homework
Forget scraping around in the footwell of your car for old receipts among empty crisp packets (no judgement by the way, been there!), or trying to remember who owes you what and when, there are experts for this. Which means you can carry on with your area of joy, i.e. your business, while we get to work on providing you with valuable business forecasting and accounts.

We have to take a lot of exams, and take courses regularly (sigh), but it enables us to offer you the best possible service we can. So don’t feel you need to know the ins and outs of the HMRC, MTDITSA, Xero… as that’s why we’re here.
5. We might both like a Friday afternoon tipple, but we’re not mind readers
One course we do not need to take as accountants is clairvoyance. So if something has changed within your business, drop us a line. Whether it’s some exciting new staff members or a necessary change you need to make, it’s helpful to get in touch so we know the full picture when doing your accounts. Then we can advise you before you make any unexpected costly changes. Letting us know early on ensures we can make the right financial decision for you and your business.

While all things finance might not come under one umbrella, we know things. Well, to be more precise, we know people; lots and lots of people.
